EUnetHTA Collaboration Proposal - way forward for HTA in Europe
Following 2 rounds of internal review and a public consultation process, the EUnetHTA Steering Committee* endorsed the proposal for a permanent European collaboration in HTA.
The proposal document presents the background, organisational structure and functions of the permanent collaboration, called the ‘EUnetHTA Collaboration’.
The EUnetHTA Collaboration will support the development, production and use of timely, relevant and high quality health technology assessments in the countries of Europe. This will cover assessments of all forms of health technologies (including medical and surgical procedures, drugs, devices, and administrative support systems). This should be achieved following the principle of subsidiarity and the basic condition that assessments should be reported in the policy context of the countries and their national priorities and health care systems.
