WP1 - Coordination
WP1 Description (excerpt from the Grant Agreement with the European Commission):
Objectives
WP1 is linked to the specific objective of establishing the organisational and structural framework for an effective and sustainable European Network for HTA with a supporting secretariat. It will also facilitate the implementation of the objective “effective dissemination and handling of HTA results, information sharing and coordination of HTA activities through the development and implementation of elaborate communication strategies and clearinghouse activities.”
Description of work
Main partner (MP) answering to the Steering Committee (SC) (35 Associated Partners (APs) and Executive Committee (EC) (7 Lead Partners (LP) will act as the contact for the Commission and APs for procedural, administrative, financial matters, & monitoring. Each LP will be responsible for activities’ coordination in the respective WPs, will assist MP with timely collection of reports from APs, & provide information to and answer questions from MP; SOP project manual will be developed and after validation by SC made available to all APs through the website. The manual will be updated as needed and include contact info, details on management structures, procedures & forms; Half-year progress reports will be prepared to ensure rigorous quality assurance of the project together with WP3 and to prepare the interim & final report to the Commission; Preparation and organisation of 1) a SC and EC meeting (venue, timetable, travel details, materials); The SC meeting will decide the project’s working and management plan, provide opportunity for project participants to meet and strengthen project dynamics, 2) conference to present and discuss project results & future plans. In cooperation with other WPs (primarily WP2) the LP will coordinate the development of EUnetHTA website content to ensure effective internal and public communication with relevant organisations/stakeholders.

Deliverables
- A viable organisational structure for a European Network for HTA – including a supporting secretariat. Close collaboration with LPs on the structural and content matters.
- Final report to the Commission presenting the results of the project. Conference “European HTA cooperation: Progress and future” at the end of the project will present the results of the project and how the future work in the field should be organised. WP1 will work closely with WP2 on the preparation and with other WPs on the content of the conference.
